Construction Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

The Construction Supervisor is to provides specialized technical, operation and organizational support in Construction works through practical technical skills in implementation and monitoring of the construction activities in program Area

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Development and Planning

  • Facilitate in conducting needs assessment, design and preparation.
  • Provide technical and organizational support throughout all stages of programming processes by executing/overseeing a variety of technical programme.
  • Manage the procurement process in accordance with LWF World Service policies and procedures, in a transparent, accountable, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Prepare technical reports and inputs for programme intervention and documentation.
  • Development of sketches, Engineering drawings, Bills of quantities and design of all infrastructural developments within the Area program for further approval by the Area Manager.
  • Update the Area Manager, Projects coordinator and Education coordinator on the progress, issue of construction implementation through, daily, weekly, monthly quarterly and annual reports.
  • Carry out field visits, surveys, implementation collect and share reports with supervisor, partners/stakeholders.
  • Update the Area Manager, Projects coordinator and Education coordinator on the progress, issue of construction implementation through, daily, weekly, monthly quarterly and annual reports.
  • Organizing, supervision of skilled, casual and all contracted laborers working
  • LWF supervised construction projects within Kakuma Refugee camp
  • Ensure a filling system in the construction office is in place for all construction projects to facilitate construction contract management.

  • Carrying out any other duties as delegated/assigned by supervisor or designate
  • Properly utilize supplies, equipment and assets assigned for official duty.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineers
  • 1 to 2 years of work experience

COMPETENCIES

  • Competencies in computer aided software i.e Auto CAD, Arch CAD and Civil 3D.
  • Be technically competent
  • Be attentive when checking work and materials
